Nurture your child’s inner designer through a hands-on challenge that sparks curiosity, courage, and creative thinking!

In this immersive, playful experience in the PLAY+MAKE space at Children’s Museum Singapore, children will get to design creative solutions using surprising materials such as slime! They will get to think outside the box, explore bold ideas and activate their innate designer instincts. Nothing is impossible – the limit is one’s imagination! Children who complete a challenge will receive a STEM Challenge Cards Set sponsored by the James Dyson Foundation (while stocks last). This is a satellite event of the Design Education Summit 2025 that is co-organised by Children’s Museum Singapore and DesignSingapore Council with support from the James Dyson Foundation.

Breakdown of Sessions and Visit Windows:

11:00am – 12:45pm Museum Slot

Session 1: 11:00am – 11:45am → Museum visit: 11:45am – 12:45pm

Session 2: 12:00pm – 12:45pm → Museum visit: 11:00am – 12:00pm

2:00pm – 3:45pm Museum Slot

Session 3: 2:00pm – 2:45pm → Museum visit: 2:45pm – 3:45pm

Session 4: 3:00pm – 3:45pm → Museum visit: 2:00pm – 3:00pm

4:00pm – 5:45pm Museum Slot

Session 5: 4:00pm – 4:45pm → Museum visit: 4:45pm – 5:45pm

Note: You may choose only one session, and your museum visit must take place within the same overall timeslot.

Depending on your selected programme session:

If your programme is in the first half of the timeslot, your museum visit will be after the programme.
If your programme is in the second half, your museum visit will be before the programme.

Activity Fee: Free. Pre-registration required.

Terms & Conditions:

The programme is free, but pre-registration is required.
Participants are to meet at the registration table beside the Ticketing Counter before entering PLAY + MAKE space at the Discovery Room.
Please arrive 10 minutes before the start time of the programme for registration.
Latecomers may have their slots released to those on the waitlist.
All children must be accompanied by an adult. Due to space constraints, only one adult can accompany each child participant.
Adult supervision is essential as sharp tools, small parts and slime will be provided. An apron will also be given to each child participant.
The total duration of the programme is approximately 45 minutes.
Parental tips will be provided upon registration - it is recommended that accompanying adults read through this guide before coming for the programme.
